Idexonauts - Ascendex Situation Update!
Yesterday the Ascendex hacker managed to deposit their hacked $IDO tokens back onto the exchange and drain all of the $USDT buy order liquidity on the exchange. Needless to say, this is a very odd event, both from a security and timing perspective, and extra concerning given the fact that FTX Ventures was an investor in Ascendex. We reached out to the Ascendex team to recover the buy order liquidity and receive the hacked tokens so that we can lock them in a way that they can’t be recovered and so far we have received neither of those. As a precautionary measure, we have removed most of our liquidity and $IDO tokens that we control from the exchange until we can figure out what is going on. If you have $IDO tokens and other liquidity on Ascendex you may want to do the same until we learn more, given the situation in the markets. Withdrawals are currently working. Last night we had some issues though they were resolved eventually.
Needless to say, until this situation is resolved regarding the hacked tokens and liquidity the status will stay red on the coingecko and coinmarketcap pages.
